The St. Louis Chapter of The Explorers Club was founded in 1988 by Audrey Spafford Jung who also served as our first Chairman. Audrey, a cave explorer, was one of the first women admitted as a member of The Explorers Club. We became a Missouri not for profit corporation in 2004 as St. Louis Chapter of The Explorers Club, Inc. We constitute members of the Explorers Club – in our region and elsewhere – who affiliate with the chapter, and welcome chapter friends and guests who join our events throughout the year.
